Well, my goal to publish twice a week during December didn’t work out so well, now did it? To tell the truth, I barely even remember December. I traveled to Africa with my Mom, then came home to Holiday Rush. I have know idea what I got the kids for Christmas, to tell you the truth. (and if you want to read my guest posts on the Ghanian Mother’s Hope website, here’s the link.)
Now, I’m buckling down to get ready for the Florida Music Educators’ Conference in Tampa next week. In my brilliance last spring – I submitted 2 clinics to present. And of course, but got selected and are schedule for the same day. Lucky me.
If I don’t post between now and then, I’m going to forgive myself. In fact, forgiving myself for not being perfect all the time is going to be a resolution for the year. Here are some others.
- Forgive myself (and others) for not being perfect (and possibly repeating themselves to make a point).
- Engage in more music-making activities. (as opposed to music-lecturing ones).
- Read more for fun.
- Laugh more.
- Take more chances. (Well, maybe that should be first – it will probably involve #2 and #4, and then a good helping of #1.)
That’s it. I’ll live. And 2012 will be great….because I said so.

Here’s to a great 2012. (Awesome picture, by the way!)
Thank you so much for taking the time to introduce yourself on my blog earlier. I really appreciate it, and I’m glad to have the chance to check out yours.
Happy New Year!
